I had rarely, if ever, considered the bi perspective when it came to dating and relationships, but after reading Greedy I felt that I had gained a profound understanding. The book itself is a joy to read; Winston's unique voice and narration makes the journey she takes you on highly enjoyable, and it reminded me of my own time as a freewheeling 20 something living in the city (if you've never experienced this yourself, the book will certainly make you feel like you have). It not only made me feel seen, affirmed and validated in my own bisexuality and its many beautiful facets, these essays also scrutinize power, privilege and white supremacy -- and make the case for collective liberation and a world free of binary thinking. I read it in a few short days, unable to put it down, after it was recommended by a friend. Ive now sent it around my group and hope to get it in the hands of every lovely queer I know! I think especially for us bisexual femmes, much of the writing will feel eerily relatable, funny, and meaningful. It’s a joy to read and I feel better for it.
